The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is an internationally recognized assessment of Japanese language proficiency for non-native speakers. It is administered by the Japan Foundation and measures a candidate’s skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking Japanese. JLPT is divided into five levels, from N5 (the lowest) to N1 (the highest). Many international students and professionals take the JLPT to enhance their career prospects, study in Japanese universities, or simply to gauge their language proficiency. Successful completion of the JLPT demonstrates a solid understanding of the Japanese language and opens doors to various opportunities for work and further education in Japan and beyond.
